The Gustave Trouvé awards, is an award for excellence in electric boats & boating and is named after Gustave Trouvé. He is the inventor of an electric motor that he used to propel his boat down the Seine river in Paris with in 1881. “The Gussies” – the international awards exclusively for electric boats – are named in his honour.

The two main pillars on which the Nexus Revo 870 Electric is outstanding are design and technology. The design is smart, when you enter the boat you immediately feel its spaciousness, you notice its comfort and its comfort is further enhanced by the technology installed.
1. Technology The installed technology in combination with the smart design create a feeling of ultimate freedom onboard. You can choose your own range, for the 100% electric version from 70 km up to 140 km boating range. If you want to be independent of shore power, it will be possible to install a Methanol based fuel cell as a range extender. The fuel cell will produce your own green energy onboard, when and whenever you need it.
Not only the propulsion system of the Nexus Revo 870 is electric also the hotel function onboard is 100% electric. For example, the Nexus Revo 870 Electric is equipped with induction hobs and electric infrared heating. Next to the fact that cooking on induction is very energy efficient it is also a safe way of cooking onboard.
2. Design The Nexus Revo 870 is available in two variants, with a hardtop or with a convertible top. The convertible top makes sure you are most flexible, do you like to steer outside in the sun or do you have to pass a fixed bridge, it’s all possible. The hardtop variant of the Nexus Revo 870 ensures you will be more sheltered from sun, wind, or rain.
The interior of the boat is very spacious due to its smart design, every detail is thought through and you see this back immediately. The Nexus Revo 870 features 4 fixed beds, a generous kitchen, a comfortable sitting area with two sofa’s and a dining table. The outside areas are no exception to the rule of comfort and spaciousness. The cockpit area features an l-shaped sofa around the cockpit table, there is a luxurious captain’s chair and the bench on the front of the boat is a real eyecatcher.
